Six string English bass viol after a John Pitts viol dated 1679, now in the Musée de la Musique, Paris.
This viol has a three pieces bent table in spruce. Back, ribs and neck are made of flamed maple. The instrument is richly decorated. It has purfling decorations on the table as well as the back.
It has a carved head and floral carved decorations on the pegbox.
The string length is 68,5 cm.
